Asset Description Missing On Asset Inspection Data When Asset Inactive/Retired (Doc ID 751553.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management - Version 1.7.15.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

Asset Inspection Data records are not displaying the asset description for Assets once the Assets
have been Retired or Inactivated. Once you view an asset inspection data record that has a
missing description, if you try to close the module or scroll to another record, you get the
msgbox 'You have not saved your changes! Save or Undo before leaving.' You get this msgbox even
if you don't make any changes to the asset inspection data record.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Open an existing Asset Inspection Data record.
2. Set the status of the Asset that is referenced on the Asset Inspection Data record to RETIRED or INACTIVE (in the Asset Module).
3. Refresh the Asset Inspection Data record.
The Asset description is no longer displayed.
If you then try to close the module or scroll to another record, the following message is displayed even though you have not updated the record:

'You have not saved your changes! Save or Undo before leaving'
