Symptoms

The user was trying to install BRM 7.3.1 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 (2.6.18-92.el5) using C shell and following latest documentation available for 7.3.1.

First, the user came across exactly the same problem presented in unpublished bug 6787835, meaning:
when running pin_setup, one statements didn't seem to work such as "eval qq!" statement to include the oracle functions library; and after a few tries, it complained about "Can't load '/opt/portal/pin1/7.3/lib/aes.so' for module aes".

Finally, the user replaced line 123 from scripts/pin_setup.pl:

eval qq!require "pin_".$DB_TYPE."_functions.pl"!;

with:

require "pin_oracle_functions.pl";

After this, the following error occurred:
