Is It Possible To Run Two Instances of the Same JInitiator Concurrently On the Same Client Machine? (Doc ID 783921.1)

Last updated on MAY 30, 2009

Applies to:

Oracle Clinical - Version: 4.5.3
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The customer would like to run two instances of JInitiator concurrently on the same Windows XP workstation. One instance will be logged in to Oracle Clinical as user 1. The second instance will be logged in to Oracle Clinical with the same SID (same database) as user 2.

The client machine only has one version of JInitiator. The user logs in to Oracle Clinical as "user1" with a database name of "dbdev1". They would like the same user on the same client machine to be able to log in to Oracle Clinical again as "user2" using the same database "dbdev1" so that two windows to Oracle Clinical are available on the client machine. The user could then switch quickly between windows. One window could be looking at Study Design. The other window could be looking at the Global Library.

Is this possible?
