Vlandefinitions Configuration Policy Doesn't Set the Name Of Extended VLAN In CATOS Device (Doc ID 787439.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 13, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version: 5.2.3
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

On a CatOS device, apply a vlanDefinitions configuration policy to a physical interface. The vlanDefinitions configuration policy contains one VLAN definition that consists of:

- VLAN ID: 1025
- VLAN Name: N1025

When the configuration policy is applied to :
Cisco Systems WS-C6509-E
Cisco Catalyst Operating System Software, Version 8.5(7)

The name component is not entered. The command generated is:

set vlan 1025

What is expected is

set vlan 1025 name N1025.

If the VLAN ID is not an extended one, such as 1000, then name is generated in the command.
