Performance Problem While Force Closing A Purchase Order (PO) For Partial Receipts

Performance problem while force closing a PO with partial receipts. The process is taking
longer then the expected time.
For a PO having approx 160 line level items it is taking more then 8 hours.
Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a purchase order & approved it.
2. Partially receive the quantity against that PO.
3. Use Canceled all item option from PO header.
4. Click OK to go to next step.
