Custom Opcode To Simulate Pcm_op_subscription_change_deal Is Not Working? (Doc ID 796203.1)

Last updated on APRIL 14, 2009

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version: 7.2.1.0.0
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Custom opcode that calls PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_CANCEL_DEAL followed by PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_PURCHASE_DEAL (simulating the behavior of PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_CHANGE_DEAL) is generating service orders as if the cancel and purchase are done separately.

Note the custom opcode uses ONE transaction to call the cancel and the purchase deal opcodes.
e.g.
1) Open a transaction
2) Call PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_CANCEL_DEAL
3) Call PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_PURCHASE_DEAL
4) Close the transaction

Expect Result:
No service order is generated so the customer service will not be impacted.

Actual Result:
One service order generated for the cancel deal and another generated for the purchase deal, and the customer service was impacted.
