BRM 7.0 Solaris Pipeline Performance is Too Low (Doc ID 803471.1)

Goal

Users on Portal 7.0 want to move their Production system from HPUX to Solaris.

They are seeing to resolve a Pipeline performance issue.

With the same input CDR file,

On HPUX:

(ifw.Pipelines.Mediation.Output.Statistic) INF_STATISTIC_DURA_TIME | 57 seconds have been used to process 98244 EDRs (1685 EDRs/sec).


On Solaris:

26.02.2009 19:52:11 zgproaming ifw IFW NORMAL 00106 -
(ifw.Pipelines.Mediation.Output.Statistic) INF_STATISTIC_DURA_TIME | 2721 seconds have been used to process 98244 EDRs (36 EDRs/sec).


They have Oracle DB installed on the same box with the Portal Server.

Solaris spec:

Sun SPARC Enterprise T5240 Server, 2 * 8 Core 1.4GHz UltraSPARC T2 Plus
processors, 64GB FBDIMM memory(16 * 4GB), 2 *146GB 10K RPM SAS disks
