Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2009

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version: 7.3.1.0.0
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
An account with a subscription group was created through Customer Center. During account creation, a /device/num device was associated to each service in the subcription group.

Once the account is created, another /device/num devices are associated using the
PCM_OP_CUST_UPDATE_SERVICES opcode.

Rating usage events (pipeline and realtime) with one of the device associated to the services is not working due to the validity period for one device expires. Only the last device associated is valid.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
1.- Create an account with a subscription group with the same /device/num device associated to each service.

2.- Associate several /device/num devices to each service using the following flist with the
PCM_OP_CUST_UPDATE_SERVICES opcode:

0 PIN_FLD_POID POID [0] 0.0.0.1 /account 49362236 0
0 PIN_FLD_PROGRAM_NAME STR [0] "test"
0 PIN_FLD_SERVICES ARRAY [0]
1 PIN_FLD_POID POID [0] 0.0.0.1 /service/telco/gsm/telephony 49364668 -1
1 PIN_FLD_DEVICES ARRAY [0]
2 PIN_FLD_DEVICE_OBJ POID [0] 0.0.0.1 /device/num 38788333 0
2 PIN_FLD_FLAGS INT [0] 1
0 PIN_FLD_SERVICES ARRAY [1]
1 PIN_FLD_POID POID [0] 0.0.0.1 /service/telco/gsm/sms 49361532 -1
1 PIN_FLD_DEVICES ARRAY [0]
2 PIN_FLD_DEVICE_OBJ POID [0] 0.0.0.1 /device/num 38788333 0
2 PIN_FLD_FLAGS INT [0] 1
0 PIN_FLD_SERVICES ARRAY [2]
1 PIN_FLD_POID POID [0] 0.0.0.1 /service/telco/gprs 49362876 -1
1 PIN_FLD_DEVICES ARRAY [0]
2 PIN_FLD_DEVICE_OBJ POID [0] 0.0.0.1 /device/num 38788333 0
2 PIN_FLD_FLAGS INT [0] 1

5.- Pipeline memory dump  shows the devices are not currently valid:
