Not Able To Authorize A Data Event In Case Req_mode Is Not Passed. (Doc ID 838371.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version: 7.3.0.0.0
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
A call to PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_AUTHORIZE fails if REQ_MODE value is not passed to the opcode.

The system has been configured in the following way:

- no REQ_MODE is passed to the PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_AUTHORIZE opcode
- a product with the following event has been created:

Event type Browsing-->Measured By Volume--> tariff based on X €/KB

Rating an event based on the event_type defined above, we are able to have a result only passing
REQ_MODE = 4.

The PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_STOP_ACCOUNTING seems to work in a different way.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
1. Create a product like the one described (tariff based on KBytes)
2. Execute a PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_AUTHORIZE without pass the REQ_MODE parameter.
