Oracle Legal Whitehill One Exhibits Strange Behavior, Crashes and/or Has Strange Error Messages (Doc ID 838587.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2010

Applies to:

Oracle Legal Whitehill One - Version: 5.6 to 5.7.5
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There are several issues with monitoring which can cause Whitehill One to  behave abnormally or crash. Symptoms may vary as issues can occur at various stages of processing. The following is a list of symptoms:

- Forms submit, but do not proceed to the next stage
- The Whitehill One solution appears to be running, but processes do not complete
- [StableMiddlewar] ERROR: Eating RMI Request tuple
- java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
- Other strange errors with no obvious causes

This is not an exhaustive list.  If the Whitehill One solution is behaving abnormally or if, upon checking your Whitehill One error logs, you discover any strange errors with no obvious cause, it would be advisable to first check and see if monitoring has been enabled.

Changes

These problems can occur when monitoring is permanently turned on in production.
