There Are Many Additional Data Elements That Must Be Sent From BRM To Vertex (Doc ID 838789.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version: and later   [Release: 7.3.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Problem Statement

The usage taxing interface must be changed to tax by PPU (place of primary use) as opposed
to the current setup of NPA/Nxx. BRM currently taxes the usage using originating number and
destination, but this is for Fixed line and not for GSM telephony.

For the information that is returned from Vertex, there are many data elements that need to be captured
and stored in BRM, but there are no place holders in BRM OOB to store these data elements. Also half
of the data elements are passed from BRM as inputs.

The data elements currently sent between BRM and Vertex today are not sufficient for
Wireless taxation and the manner in which Vertex will be implemented.
