This problem can occur on any platform.
-- Problem Statement:
The "splitSol42.sh" script, which is packaged as part of the patch 7594297 (on 7.3.1 for Solaris-64bit) is not working as expected.
Said script should split Sol42 files of more than 1000 records into multiple Sol42 file with max 1000 records.
The script installed with the patch indeed splits the files with 1000 records. However, the Trailer record doesn't have all the fields which are expected in a trailer record in the newly created files with 1000 records each.
Lets say the input file for the script has a trailer record of, say, 13 fileds and suppose some fields are blank or no values, then in the split file the trailer would be reduced for example to 11 fields. The trailer record is reduced by as many fields as the blank spaces.
-- Steps To Reproduce:
1. Install the patch p7594297_731_Solaris-64 in the target environment
2. Execute $IFW_HOME/bin/splitSol42.sh <path for input file> <path for out split files>
