Hierarchy Component Dimension Maintenance Dropping Members

(Doc ID 881673.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.

When attempting to update a hierarchy component in a mapping rule that has many members, several components that were not modified were being dropped.

Expected Behavior:
Expect all components that were not modified to remain in the condition.

1. When updating a Hierarchy Dimension Component, if the previously selected child dimension members are not expanded to view, these dimension members are lost and not saved when saving the Dimension Component.

2. When creating a Hierarchy Dimension Component as part of a Condition rule, for very wide or very deep hierarchies, you need to search for nodes. Once found, you can select nodes, and select the relations (e.g. Node only). But then if you search again without clicking on Apply, the previous selections are lost and not saved. You must click on Apply to save your current selections before searching again. But clicking on Apply exits out of the Update page and returns to the Selector page. To search and add more nodes you must update the component again. This process of repeatedly going out and back in again is very tedious and inefficient. Also, if you search for nodes that were already selected (to verify that they were selected) the search shows the nodes but they always display as unselected.

3. If you search for nodes that were previously selected and updated (to verify the changes) the search does not show the changes made for those nodes.

4. At least one node has to be selected on the screen while clicking the Update/Apply button for the changes to be applied successfully (even if there is at least one relationship assigned somewhere else in the hierarchy).
