Goal

This article explains how to configure Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management (MDM) to process data serially. This article applies to importing usage data with the Oracle Utilities Energy Information Platform (EIP) Adapter.

MDM can take some time to process data before it can commit it to the database. Before this data is committed another runtime service can start processing different data. In this case, MDM can process data in parallel. But, if the usage data is for the same meter then it may cause some problems when populating the header information, such as 'Start Time' and 'Stop Time'. In this case, it is necessary that the input data is processed in a serial fashion to avoid usage overlap.
