PIN_REL Is Creating Separate Item Instead Of Cumulating The Items (Doc ID 887587.1)

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

It was observed at random that , for few accounts , multiple items are getting created for the same poid type when usage is loaded using pin_rel. Creation of multiple items of same poid type in the item_t then leads to problem in billing and other functionalities. The item in question had precreate=false and type set to be CUMULATIVE.

Consider the following example: In out file generated by pipeline rating, we get an item_poid as “750898”(for example). But while loading these charges using pin_rel, they are not getting accumulated in items with same poid 750898, rather items with new poids are getting generated. However, the event table is having the item poid as “750898", it does not have multiple poids. This issue seem to be happening in some scenarios alone and not always.

Also, it was observed that the below was set in the config business parameters :

acct_cycle_delay_period = 2

When it was set to -1 , the issue would not surface.
