The following errors occur when opening a table in MS-Access with ODBC:
"ODBC Call Failed", "Couldn't execute query; couldn't find linked table"

After choosing "Select All", on the Link Tables window and choosing OK, the linking operation runs until a "Couldn't execute query; couldn't find linked table" error appears.

When this error comes up, look at the Link Tables window. In the background it will list a XXXXSRT file in the dialog box. This error means Access couldn't find the table XXXXSRT. The XXXXSRT table is a temporary file that holds data from report selections filters. Disregard this error and click OK.

After doing so another error message comes up, "[Pervasive Software][ODBC Interface][Pervasive Software SQL Engine] The MicroKernel cannot find the specified file. (#12)". Click OK to see a listing of all of the tables for that project.

Double-click on the XXXXACT table you will see the table along with an "ODBC- -call failed" error. After clicking OK, the table comes up but all of the data fields will contain "#Name?" This error is independent of the operating system and the version of Access.

When opening a table in Access, all of the data fields contain "#Name?"
