Error: "The file D:\ ... .xer could not be created. Please enter a valid file name" when attempting to Export via Job Services (Doc ID 893418.1)

The 'Export' Job Services job is not successful. 


Error: "The file D:\prim\Primavera Enterprise35\Export\js_levl.xer could not be created.  Please enter a valid file name"

Also, as the 'Log' file path is incorrect, the log file will not have been generated either.

The steps below show how this scenario was created:

The Job Options screens are shown below:

The path to export the XER file to is a path relative to the local client machine.
That is 'D:\prim\Primavera Enterprise35\Export\js_levl.xer' is the 'D: drive' on the client machine.

Selecting a file location:

Hitting 'Open' asks if you wish to create the file:

After hitting 'Yes' Project Manager appears as if it has created the file when in fact is has not done so.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
