Why Are The Planned Dates Different From The Early Dates In P6?

This document explains why the Planned Start and Planned Finish (Planned Dates) could be different from the Early Start and Early Finish (Early Dates). This document also addresses the following questions/scenarios:
- Why are Planned Dates no longer affected by Constraints or entries like Expected Finish?
- Planned Start does not equal Early Start (ES). Planned Finish does not equal Early Finish (EF).
- Baseline Start does not equal Baseline Early Start. Baseline Finish does not equal Baseline Early Finish.
- Early Start is equal to the Data Date for activity with Actual Start.
