Goal

This document provides instructions for creating or modifying a database alias to connect P6 Project Management, Methodology Management or Job Services to its respective database.

In P6 release 8.0 and later:
  • In P6 EPPM r8.0, the client application is called P6 Professional.
  • In P6 EPPM r8.1, the client application is called P6 Optional Client.
  • In P6 PPM r8.1, the client application is called P6 Professional.
  • If P6 r8.2 and later (PPM and EPPM), the client application is called P6 Professional.
