Goal

Implementing Snapshot Isolation on a SQL Server P6 EPPM or P6 Professional database has the potential to eliminate data contention and reduce deadlocks, lock contentions, and session waits. The instructions in this document will help users verify that Snapshot Isolation is set for each database, and turn it on if it is not.

This setting should automatically be set for P6 v6.1 and later releases. In the event it is not set, these steps should be followed.
