How To: Document the Amount of Memory Used by the Contract Management Web/Application Server
Last updated on JULY 05, 2016
Applies to:Primavera Contract Management - Version 9.0 and later
The memory usage displayed in the Windows Task Manager for the JVM (java.exe) is not a reliable indication of how much memory the JVM is using at any given moment.
This memory usage displayed tends to show the highest amount the JVM has used over a period of time, and tends to only minimally decrease unless the web server is restarted.
To more accurately track the JVM memory usage on the Contract Management web server, an additional parameter can be added in the exponline.properties file.
This additional parameter, ShowHeapUsage, will record memory checks within the server.log file.
