Symptoms
The following error is encountered when attempting to start the SQL Server service:
Windows could not start the SQL Server (Instance_Name) on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 3417
The following errors are also captured in the System Event Log in event viewer:
SQL Server service will not start The SQL Server (Instance_Name) service terminated with service-specific error 2148081668 (0x80092004).
The SQL Server (Instance_Name) service terminated with service-specific error 3417 (0xD59).
The SQL Server (Instance_Name) service terminated with service-specific error 3417 (0xD59).
