Error: "Event Code: ORANC-1966-E, Message: ORA-03114: Not Connected to ORACLE" When Performing Any Action in P6 Professional Client

Symptoms

The following error occurs when performing any action in P6 client applications:

ERROR
----------------

Event Code: ORANC-1966-E
Description: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

OR

Event Code: DSEOR-0898-9
Message:  Database Server Error ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

NOTE: ORANC-1966-E has also been observed when P6 loses connection to the database during a long running operations, such as an import or copy/paste of multiple projects.

If user receives ORANC-1966-E be sure to click 'More' on the error box, then 'Copy' on the error box to capture the full context of the error.
