Attempting to create a new letter or modify an existing letter the user is presented with the following warning message: This file is in use by another application or user C:\Documents and Settings\...\normal.dot
After clicking OK, the user is prompted to save normal.dot as another template. The Letter record is saved as expected.
Letters function worked without problem when Adobe Acrobat Standard and Microsoft Word were installed on client. When Adobe Acrobat is upgraded to version 9, Adobe installed a plug-in into Micorsoft Word designed to allow the user to save the Word file directly to PDF instead of having to use the Adobe Distiller.
