Goal
The Microsoft SQL Server installation process includes an option to use Windows Authentication, which authenticates database server logins against the operating system user matrix, or Mixed Mode Authentication, which allows explicit server users to be defined within Microsoft SQL Server in addition to the authenticated Windows users. The default sysadmin user account is sa. The Contract Manager database wizard requires this account - or another sysadmin user - to create the Contract Manager databases and authenticated users. It can not connect via Windows Authentication.
This document describes how to enable Mixed Mode Authentication if it was not chosen during the installation process.
