Troubleshooting Errors Received When Emailing From Contract Management (Doc ID 912929.1)

Primavera Contract Management - Version 10.0 and later
All Platforms

Purpose

This article will assist in troubleshooting the following issues when attempting to send an email from Contract Management:

Error: "Primavera cannot e-mail this document. Please contact your Contract Manager administrator", when trying to email a document

Error: Invalid or no SMTP server specified

Error: Invalid addresses
5305.7.1 client was not authenticated

Any of the following errors appear in a log file:
javax.mail.MessagingException: Unknown SMTP host

ERROR [STDERR] javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: <smtp>, port: 25; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect.

javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Illegal character in local name in string

javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Illegal semicolon, not in group in string
javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Illegal whitespace in address in string....
