Why do Percentile per period values not add up to the same as the Percentile cumulative values?

P20, P50, P80 & any percentile value created by user. The sum of percentile per period values does not equal the percentile cumulative values.

In example above looking as far as period 2 the per period values of $28,382 + $39,964 = $68,346.

The cumulative value for period 2 is $65,407.

The sum of per period values is $132,532 but the cumulative total is $127,776
