In Transit Quantity Not Getting Cleared in RMS, When a Transfer is Under Received in SIM (Doc ID 945507.1)

Symptoms

In Retail Merchandising System (RMS), find that when the system option 'WHOLESALE_FRANCHISE_IND' is set to 'N', in transit quantity does not get reset to zero, when a store to store transfer is short received at the receiving store. However, in Store Inventory Management (SIM) system, the in transit quantity is reset to zero, and this leaves the Stock On Hand (SOH) in RMS and SIM to be out of sync. The in transit quantity in RMS should also be reset to zero, even when the transfer is under received at the receiving store.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Ensure that the following RMS system_options are set as shown:
    TSF_FORCE_CLOSE_IND = 'RL'
    TSF_AUTO_CLOSE_STORE = 'Y'
    TSF_AUTO_CLOSE_WH = 'Y'
    TSF_OVER_RECEIPT_IND = 'RL'
    SIM_FORCE_CLOSE_IND = null
    wholesale_franchise_ind ='N'
  2. Ensure that the following SIM System Options are set as shown:
    TSF_FORCE_CLOSE_IND = 'RL'
    • Run the following query in SIM database to check on the above option value:

                   Select * from RK_CONFIG where CONFIG_KEY = 'TSF_FORCE_CLOSE_IND';

  1. In RMS (and also in SIM) find an item that is available at two Stores. Note down the Store ids and item id.
  2. Query SIM database table RK_STORE_ITEM_SOH and RMS database table ITEM_LOC_SOH and note down
    the stock on hand
    Note: Example:

  3. In SIM, create a store to store transfer for the item from the From store for a quantity of 10 and dispatch the transfer
  4. Ensure that the Retail Integration Bus (RIB) topics ASNOut publisher/subscriber, SOStatus publisher/subscriber publish the transfer message from SIM to RMS
  5. Check the quantities in both SIM's RK_STORE_ITEM_SOH table and RMS's ITEM_LOC_SOH table

   8.  In SIM, log in to the receiving store and receive the transfer for a quantity of 8 (Note: The transfer quantity is 10, but receiving quantity is 8 - Under/Short receiving at the receiving store). click on 'Confirm'.
   9.  Check the quantities in both SIM's RK_STORE_ITEM_SOH table and RMS's ITEM_LOC_SOH table

   10.  The in transit quantity in RMS (as shown in the data snapshot above) should be 0, as in SIM.
