Session Invalidated When Receiving Notify With State Terminated (Refer) (Doc ID 948670.1)

Last updated on JUNE 30, 2011

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Converged Application Server - Version: 4.0.0 and later   [Release: 4.0.0 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When the server is receiving a NOTIFY with a subscription-state header set to "terminated", it
invalidates the SipSession and the SipApplicationSession even if the NOTIFY is for a REFER event
and a dialog exists (case of call transfer).

So, when the terminal sends a BYE, it is rejected by "SIP/2.0 481 Initial request should have no
To tag".

As described in RFC3515, it is the case of a call transfer. But as the subscription seems to be
in the same dialog of the invite, when the server invalidates the session on reception of final
notify, it terminates also the call, which is not expected.
