Symptoms

User receives "The user ID you entered is not valid. Please use a valid User ID or ask your manager for assistance." message while attempting to login with the MetaSolv Solution client (tbs.exe).

 

Text of error message at login:

The user ID you entered is not valid. Please use a valid User ID or ask your manager for assistance.
Details: The User ID is not in the security database. To correct the problem ask the security administrator to add this User ID to the security database.
