Last updated on SEPTEMBER 24, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version: 6.7.0.0.0 to 7.3.1.0.0 - Release: 6.7.0 to 7.3.1
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The upgrade script "update_item.sql" rebuilds table item_t and adds the following columns:
ar_account_obj_db,
ar_account_obj_id0,
ar_account_obj_type and
ar_account_obj_rev
and then recreates index on ar_account_obj_id0.

Now, if "drop_old_tables_columns.sql" is run, it drops the index on ar_account_obj_id0 and then drops columns :
ar_account_obj_db,
ar_account_obj_id0,
ar_account_obj_type and
ar_account_obj_rev which were created in update_item.sql.

Why create the additional fields and index if they are to be dropped later?
