Database Trigger on UDA Tables (UDA_ITEM_FF,UDA_ITEM_LOV,UDA_ITEM_DATE) Updates ITEM_MFQUEUE Too Often (Doc ID 968923.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 12.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

A great quantity of item integration messages are being generated in ITEM_MFQUEUE when items User Defined Attributes (UDA) are modified in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).
This is impacting the performance of item integration flow to others systems.

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Select an item with UDA.
2. Click the User Defined Attributes link to edit the attributes defined.
3. Click on the UDA Value LOV and select the same value that was previously chosen and press the OK button to exit the screen.
Note that the ITEM_MFQUEUE table gets populated with an 'ItemUDALOVCre' message and another 'ItemUDALOVDel' message with the same information even though no modification has been made.
