Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide further instruction and best practices when configuring Microsoft SharePoint with P6 Web Access.

The steps in this document are also outlined in the P6 Administrator's Guide.  Refer to section Configuring Oracle Universal Content Management and Microsoft SharePoint for P6 Web Access for detail.

Scope

This document is intended for Administrator's deploying Web Access, however it is recommended that you have a good understanding of the Web Access module. Refer to the Web Access Help files for functional explanations where necessary.

Before reading this document:

  • For installation instruction of Web Access, refer to the P6 v7 Installation and Upgrade Roadmap under Note 1068294.1.
  • For installation instruction of Microsoft SharePoint, please refer to the Microsoft documentation for instruction and assistance.
  • These steps are outlined in the P6 Administrator's Guide under the section titled Configuring Oracle Universal Content Management and Microsoft SharePoint for P6 Web Access.
When creating the Web Site to host the SharePoint connector, turn off the Integrated Windows Authentication to the virtual directory created.
