How To Encrypt User Credentials

Information in this document applies to any platform.
As per client's security policy, all the users and passwords need to be encrypted in both DB and application config files, but in our ASAP application the file /install/ASAP_password.dat contains the user credentials in plain text format, this note details how to encrypt the information.
