"Error - The format is incorrect. Invalid e-mail Id. Please enter a valid e-mail id."" : OIM 11g Not Allowing Email Addresses That Start with a Number in the Domain Part (Doc ID 1369013.1)

To reproduce the issue:

- Goto OIM Admin console and login as any Admin user.
- Create an User say "John Doe"
- In Email Address field, enter "John.Doe@123Oracle.com
Immediately the system validator will display a popup error message saying
"Error - The format is incorrect. Invalid e-mail Id. Please enter a valid e-mail id." although the entered email address is valid.


Symptoms

OIM is not allowing email addresses that start with a number in the domain part of the email address. e.g. John.Doe@123Oracle.com

This domain is a valid domain and according to the RFC 2822 this should be valid
