Symptoms

When exporting an Oracle Taleo LearnCenter Report Builder or BI report to Microsoft Excel, the following error appears, depending on the version of Excel:

Excel 2010 or 2013:  "The file format and extension of '[file name]' don't match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe. Unless your trust its source, don't open it. Do you want to open it anyway?"

Excel 2007: "The file you are trying to open is in a different format than specified by the file extension”

Excel 2006:  "There is something in your workbook that we don't understand. Try opening and saving the workbook in a newer version of Excel."
