Scope

This is for all intended users of Oracle GoldenGate with Oracle RDBMS Server.

The purpose of this document  is to ensure customers have the necessary RDBMS patches installed to run Oracle GoldenGate Integrated Extract/ Integrated Replicat (IE/IR) against the specified platform, DB version, and PSU level.

This is the base level patch that customers will need to apply to properly run Oracle GoldenGate Integrated Extract/ Integrated Replicat (IE/IR).

NOTE: Stop ALL Oracle GoldenGate processes/services and follow the Patches README details for installation

You may have other one-off patches in your environment (Oracle GoldenGate related or otherwise) that you may need to install based on prior issues/Service Requests (SR) you have reported, in addition to the recommended merge patch listed in this document.

Before applying a new PSU or merge patch, best practice is to always run the My Oracle Support (MOS) Conflict Checker against your own patching level and lsinventory to ensure there are no patch conflicts per any additional one-off patches you may have applied.

NOTE: The patch make changes to logminer, Xstream API, or the internal OGG code and it’s not supported to have OGG running while the patch is applied.

Reference:

<Document  1317012.1>  How to Use MOS Patch Planner to Check and Request the Conflict Patches?

If conflicts are detected, please submit a Service Request and attach the corresponding opatch inventory in order to request a new build against your current patching level.
