Opportunity Search Screen Has Too Many Mandatory Filters (Doc ID 1565784.1)

Symptoms

Issue is that the Administrator needs to be able to see ALL opportunities in the system. Currently the search process needs a minimum of 2 fields to be entered as the search criteria, it is not possible to search by just the status field. The search would not be dealing with a high volume of records.

When running an Opportunity search using only Status the message "Enter values for one of these - Opportunity Name, Opportunity Number, Customer, Primary Contact, Territory, Partner, Lead Number, Opportunity Owner, Team Member " is displayed. This means it would be necessary to do multiple searches to see all the opportunities in the system.
