Future dated hires are not showing up in Person Search when the User logged in has a Data Role attached.
Data Role preventing future dated new hires from showing up in Person Search.
The test case is that a user with the delivered 'Human Resource Specialist' roles hires a new employee with a hire date in the future. Navigation is Navigator -> New Person. Then they search for this newly hired person with a future hire date through Navigator -> Person Management. They are able to retrieve this person without any problem.
However, when a data role is added to the delivered 'Human Resource Specialist' job role, it's creating a problem. The data role has a person security profile that allows access only to employees belonging to a specific legal entity. With this data role added, when the user now hires a new person with a future hire date, they are still able to go through the entire workflow successfully. But when they go to Navigator -> Person Management to search for this newly hired person, they can't find him or her. The data role is somehow preventing this person from showing up.
Expect the users to be able to see future dated hires appropriate to their data role.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as user with HR Specialist role and View All data privileges
2. Navigator > New Person. Hire a person with a hire date in the future.
3. Search for the newly hired person.
4. Observe that the record is returned.
5. Add a restricted data role to the HR Specialist.
6. Repeat step 2 and 3.
7. Observe that the record is NOT returned.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users with restricted data roles cannot view future data hires that they should be able to see.
