Sales Account Owner Not Updated Automatically If Its Territory Owner Is Changed

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When we change the Owner of a particular Territory (for example) from owner 'X' to 'Y' as 'X' .
Then the Sales Account Owner for all the Sales Accounts for which 'X' was the owner doesn't change to 'Y' automatically even though the Territory Owner has changed.
