CRM Integration: How to Test an External Call from Eloqua to a CRM System (Doc ID 1615219.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 23, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Eloqua Marketing Cloud Service - Version 9 to 10 [Release 9 to 10]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This article describes how to ensure that external calls from Eloqua are updating records correctly in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system by testing the call with a single contact.

Contact information is sent to your CRM through external calls that are linked to internal events and placed in your CRM program. When a contact enters a program, the contact flows down a specific path based on the decision rules you have set up. Because testing this process would be long if an external call was actually sending the information, Eloqua gives you the ability to test an external call directly from the Setup area.
