When hiring an employee in Fusion Applications, you do not have an option to specify the User login ID/UserName. Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) will generate a default user login ID based on a predefined plugin program (oracle.iam.identity.usermgmt.impl.plugins.DefaultComboPolicy) which uses these rules:
- If email is provided, use email as User login ID/UserName
- If email is not provided, User login ID/UserName will be generated based on first name, last name and user name domain
In many cases the default policy is acceptable, but it is possible to customize the default policy if required.
Our Requirement is to create a User Login ID/UserName with the format - FLLLLLL where:
- F - is the First Letter of the Employee's First Name
- LLLLLL - the Employee's Last Name
Employee's First Name is - PETER
Employee's Last Name is - CAMPBELL
Derived User Login ID/UserName should be - PCAMPBELL
