Much of the configuration system's functionality requires the use of these attributes.
Configurable attributes can be created at all levels in the products hierarchy. Adhering to the rules of inheritance, those attributes created at high levels are automatically inherited by lower levels. You will first need to decide at which hierarchy level you would like to create these attributes and navigate from the Standard Navigation Path to:
- All Product Families: Select Configurable Attributes from the drop-down menu.
- Product Family: Select Product Families from the drop-down menu > Product Family > Configurable Attributes
- Product Line: Select from Product Family > Product Lines > Configurable Attributes
- Model: Select from Product Lines > Models > Configurable Attributes
Selecting one of these will direct you to the Configurable Attribute Administration list specific to that level in the hierarchy.
