Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle CRM On Demand - Version 031CS and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Role: Administrator            Language: English            Length: 10 minutes

Expert: Robert Davidson, whose job it is to help you use CRM On Demand better (his words)!

Challenge: Lists timing out!
Robert Davidson tackles performance issues with lists that return results slowly and even time out after the 10-minute limit.

Solution: Watch the recording to see how Robert resolved the issue with a blended strategy, including using indexed fields, reducing the data returned in a list, and replacing lists with reports. The result? Lists and reports that returned records in just seconds!

Update

With the Release 19 Service Allotments, the ten-minute timeout applies to list run time in off-peak hours, and in peak hours, it is 60 seconds. Please see the topic, "SQL Timeout Allotments," on page 7 in the attached document entitled "Service Allotments for Oracle CRM On Demand 18Nov2011.pdf." Also available in Doc Id 870963.5

User Interface: Applies to Lists, search, etc.
