The Plan Component Is Invalid With User-Defined Function Expression ORA-00972: identifier is too long (Doc ID 1918158.1)

Symptoms

Plan component has incentive formula based on a user-defined function.

The plan component is Invalid with the following reason:

      The application could not generate the PL/SQL package for the formula.
      Contact your system administrator. (CN-1575389)


Incentive formula package generation had the following error message:

      Unexpected Error : ORA-20500: PLS-00114: identifier 'G_11000PC_SRP_PER_FORM_METRIC_' too long PL/SQL: ORA-00972: identifier is too long

 

Changes

1. Enable input column for calculation's expression
   Navigator > Setup and Maintenance > Task: Configure Table and Columns
   [Table] = CN_SRP_PER_FORMS_METRICS_ALL
   [Column] = SRP_PER_FORM_METRIC_ID
   ... set [User Name] = SPFM_ID

2. Create expression using custom function and pass in SPFM_ID as the input value.
   Navigator > Compensation Plans > Manage Expression
