Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud (PBCS) Financial Reporting Studio Error "2006" in PDF Report Preview (Doc ID 1933058.1)

Symptoms

Financial Reporting Studio returns error "2006" for all reports viewed as PDF Preview.

In Workspace, HTML Preview and PDF Preview on the same reports, return the following error message:

java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1

Additional error messages that one may encounter in Financial Reporting Studio.

Error 1: No design-time license information found for control'HrCommonDialogProj.HrCommonDialog.'Contact the vendor for control.'HrCommonDialogProj.HrCommonDialog.' to obtain a design-time license.

Error2: Object variable or With block variable not set

Changes

1. You have selected Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service Workspace Navigate->Applications->Planning->Application_Name. Next, you selected Administration->Manage->Plan Types.  There, you have renamed Plan Type Name "Plan1" to something different.  For example, "Finance".

2. Next, you have entered "Finance" in Workspace -> Tools -> Database Connection Manager -> (database_connection_name) -> Edit -> Database Connection Properties -> Select Database Connection field.
