The customer has a requirement that certain users be automatically assigned to the Sales Team on both Leads and Opportunities.
For Opportunities, requirement was met via custom assignment rule. Within the application's Opportunity Profile options, the following three profile options were set:
Sales Team Member Assignment Rule Set Group (set to the appropriate assignment group)
Opportunity Assignment Mode (set to both rule-based and territory based)
Assignment Submission at Save Enabled (set to Yes)
When the administrator configures the Lead profile options within the task: Manage Sales Lead Profile Options, there is profile option:
Assignment Rule for Rule-Based Lead Assignment
However, the application does NOT provide a profile option to enable Assignment Submission at Save Enabled (similar to Opportunity Profile Options). As a result of this issue, the application does not allow team members to be automatically added to Lead Sales Teams.
