Error When Open Existing Quotes or Create New Ones [Unknown error occurred. Please contact the system administrator.] (Doc ID 1946937.1)

Symptoms

When going into Oracle Cloud CPQ from Salesforce, existing quotes cannot be opened. The user gets redirected to the quote manager page where the following error displays:

"Unknown error occurred. Please contact the system administrator."

 

Upon checking the error logs, the following can be observed:

19 Nov 2014 10:33:21,067 [ERROR] com.bm.xchange.services.commerce.actions.CmOpenDocAction.performAction(CmOpenDocAction.java:217) - Unknown error occurred. Please contact the system administrator.
com.bm.xchange.util.BMSystemException: Unknown Exception.
First Element must contain the local name, Envelope , but found data_xml

 When trying to create a new quote, the user gets redirected to the homepage and no errors are displayed.
