Mobile Phone Entered Into Simplified UI Does Not Sync Down To Outlook

When a user enters a mobile phone number for a contact using the simplified UI it does not sync down to Outlook. When looking at the same contact in the desktop UI I found that the Purpose for the Mobile phone number is blank. It should be set to Work in order for the number to sync down to Outlook.
When a user enters a mobile phone number for a contact in simplified UI it should sync down to Outlook. They should not have to switch over to the desktop UI first in order to set the Purpose for the phone number.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
2. Contact - enter Work and Mobile phone
3. Do a sync in Outlook
4. Work phone is now in outlook but not mobile
5. Check Contact details on Enterprise UI - Work phone has a purpose mobile phone does not
