How to Batch Compile Objects in a Database Cloud Schema Service (Doc ID 1966708.1)

Goal

Recompile all pl/sql objects after changes are made to tables, packages, functions, triggers, etc  on the Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service using DBMS_UTILITY an UTL_RECOMP.

However, these utilities give the following errors when used:

 

error : ORA-06550: line 3, column 1:
PLS-00201: identifier 'DBMS_UTILITY' must be declared
ORA-06550: line 3, column 1:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored

begin

UTL_RECOMP.recomp_serial(schema => 'OUR_SCHEMA');

end;

ORA-06550: line 3, column 1:
PLS-00201: identifier 'UTL_RECOMP.RECOMP_SERIAL' must be declared
ORA-06550: line 3, column 1:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored
